New SMS Text OPT-IN Program
Dear Parent or Guardian,
District 105 currently uses the SchoolMessenger notification service to send important information to families through phone calls and emails. This year we are introducing a text messaging option to send important information to you.
In order to receive these messages and to comply with wireless carrier requirements and to protect against unsolicited text messages, you may receive a text message on the wireless cell phone number which the district has on file, requesting that you "opt-in" to receive important information from the district via our SMS text messaging service.
The message you receive will come from our 'short code', 67587 and read similar to the following:
"La Grange School District 105 messages. Reply Y to subscribe or STOP to cancel. Msg&data rates may apply. Msg freq varies. Visit schoolmessenger.com/txt for info"
So that you may continue to receive these important messages, we encourage you to reply with "Y" or "Yes" when you receive such a verification message. If you do not reply, you will not receive any further text messages from our schools.
To opt out of all text messages from SchoolMessenger, visit http://www.schoolmessenger.com/txtmsg/ or reply with "STOP" to the opt-in message that you receive. If you opt-in, but later decide to opt-out, simply send "STOP" to 67587.  You may also reply "STOP" to any message from our organization.
Please check with your wireless carrier for information about your mobile service plan and any possible charges related to text messaging.  Our organization does not reimburse for any charges associated with sending or receiving text messages.

Estimado Padre o Tutor,

Preschool Program Announces New Developments
LaGrange School District 105 is excited to welcome new and returning families to preschool this fall!  We look forward to working with our families to ensure that each student is Kindergarten ready.  This school year brings many new opportunities to the program.

Beginning in the 2017-2018 school year, all of our preschool classrooms will be located in one building, Hodgkins Elementary School.  This summer, our teachers and staff will be preparing their classrooms and new school for our youngest learners to start the school year.  This move will enable our staff to collaborate on a more consistent basis and enable our preschool students to experience inclusive learning opportunities that were not previously available.  Mr. John Signatur and the rest of the Hodgkins staff welcome you and your family to be a part of the Hodgkins Family!

Additionally, our preschool team will be transitioning to the district’s early release schedule for Wednesdays.  Our new preschool hours are:

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday      8:30-11:15 and 12:15-3:00

Wednesday 8:30-10:30 and 12:15-2:15

This early release schedule will enable our teachers to engage in consistent, meaningful professional development and collaboration around what is best for our preschool students.  Those students who receive transportation services will continue to receive services with this new schedule taken into account.

Do not hesitate to contact the Director of Student Services, Maureen Kidd, with any questions that you may have.  708-482-2700
